harvesting lost sharks: two blog links

harvest

I performed at the harvest magazine launch on wednesday night. I had a wonderful evening in the company of Melbourne writer Alec Patric. He's blogged about the evening here so I thought I'd send you over to his place.

another lost shark

Queensland writer and founder of Small Change Press, Graham Nunn, has included a poem of mine 'White Bred Bun' in his latest 'Guided by Poets' thread. You can check the thread out here.

  1. Cool, you're everywhere! Where do you find the time? 'White Bred Bun' is one of my all time favourite poems.

  6. Thanks for checking out the links Cocoyea. I love that you felt the energy of "White Bred Bun." It's so loaded with 'Australianisms' that I've been wondering whether others would feel kind like like "What the?"...

  10. Hi Cordie, Don't worry I am all about self reflection...and reflections of self reflections...and reflections of those reflections :)

Thanks Katie & 'Have you any...' Alec writes a fantastic review doesn't he?

  11. Well, Maxine, you were the inspiration for going and writing the review. I could barely restrain myself from storming the stage right after you, and eventually had to content myself with sending that charge through my post about the night. One thing people won't quite get from your poetry, this blog, or even performances, is the open-hearted warmth you emanate. I'm not talking about the words now. I'm talking about standing next to an open fire. Thanks for that and a great evening.

  14. I LOVe the graphics on this site. How are you doing them? They are yours, right?

  15. Yeah Cat, they're mine. But if I told you how I make them I'd have to kill you, and since I have no idea who or where you are, that would be tres problematic ;)
