Good one! There are poems like that ;) - topical poems that would never be understood without the surrounding information/news, so date quickly.
The timeless poems do seem to be few and far between. I loved this, Maxine. But don't you love how a certain poem can transport you right back to a certain time and place? There's magic in words...
